From 140 US dollars
North High Street

Trust me, it's tons of fun!

Family-friendly and beginner-friendly terrarium-making at our shop in Olney! We'll guide you through the whole process of creating the long-lasting low maintenance terrarium of your dreams! First, comes the soil. Together, we'll mix the ingredients to give the plants a good growing environment. It's like making a cake- but with dirt! You'll get to customize your little ecosystem with 3 baby plants. Pick your favorites! You'll get to plant some live moss between them, making for an even greener mini garden. Now's my favorite part: decorations! We've got tons to choose from: little cats, birds, butterflies, flowers, cherries, and mushrooms are just the start of what's in store- and don't forget the crystals! You can really customize it to fit your style. Once your terrarium is ready, you'll get to take it home and enjoy it even more. Terrariums can live for years and years! Just spray it a few times when the seasons change, and keep it somewhere that's slightly sunny, but not hot or cold. It's amazing to watch it grow! Now, what are you waiting for? It's time for some creative fun!

Plant Care

What About drainage?

Drainage exists to flush out excess water, but if there's no excess, there's no drainage needed. I water my plants gently: just enough to keep the soil moist. Leave some room for air pockets in the soil, and your plants will thank you!

Can they stay in their containers?

Yes! You can actually cut the roots back when they get too unruly. Then, you can refill the container with fresh soil and your plant can go back in!

Do they all need light?

Yeah, at least a tiny bit. Don't worry, though! SANSI sells super nice clip-on grow lights for $20 or less. They even have a timer built in, so they turn themselves off every night and turn on every morning.

Grow light bulbs are another good option. They screw into a regular lamp and cost only $6! Place a few plants so the tops of their leaves are a foot or two below the light. They'll be very happy.
