This is not an exact plant, so you'll recieve the same type of plant in the same color and same planter, but he might be a bit bigger or smaller. We've got a few of them! The container and any decorations or labels shown are included.

We check our plants regularly for any pests or diseases. The soil is infused with mosquito bits to prevent gnats. It's super important to me that all the plants I sell are healthy! I wanna set you up for success.

Strawberry Begonia

Low light? Medium light? What's all that? Plants in our low light tolerant section can do alright in the middle of a room. Still, even when a plant can tolerate low light,bright light is better. The happiest plants live under a grow light, or within a few feet of a window. For windows, make sure he's got a good view of the light: in front of the window, no to the side! Plants in bright light grow faster, have brighter leaves, and are more resistant to pests and diseases.
We make our own soil mix and it's peat-free! If the plant isn't homegrown, it might have some of its old soil left too. Our soil mix is like a whole ecosystem! The plants communicate with fungi to ask for the nutrients they want. The worm compost gives the plants a really good immune system and lots to eat! You might see bugs in the soil, but they're friendly. They're like bodyguards and helpers, working to keep bad bugs away, keep nutrients moving, and keep the soil nice and clean
We use secondhand glass containers for our plants, so you can see the roots! It's super pretty, eco-friendly, and way less expensive on your end, too. Drainage holes? Forget em! With the ability to see into the soil, you'll be able to add just the right amount of water. There won't be any extra to drain out. Plus, there's lots of good food for your plants in there! Wouldn't wanna wash that down the drain.
This guy is pretty chill about watering. He might even wilt a little if he's getting super thirsty, to warn you before it's too late. Check every couple days or once a week. It's pretty easy to do, with the tiny container. When the surface of the soil turns lighter in color, it's watering time! Use an amount of water around 1/3 the size of the dirt the plant is in. If you see a puddle at the top of bottom after 20 minutes, you can dump it out or remove it with a pipette. Watered soil looks shiny and dark like chocolate syrup! If you prefer scheduled watering, you can water weekly: watering Wednesdays! After a few months, the soil might start drying too fast. No worries, there are two easy ways to fix this!
Plants can stay in the same pot for a long time! When the soil starts drying out at an annoying rate, that means the root to soil balance is getting a lil funky. You can cut or tear off up to 1/3 of the roots. It's easiest to just slice the sides off with a good knife. Then, put the plant back into its old pot and fill it in with fresh soil for more nutrients and more water-holding ability! Gives him a nice refresh. You can do this over and over! That's how bonsai stay in such small pots. Triming off the end of the stem is totally cool, too! You can take up to 1/3 of the plant off twice a year, or take smaller 1 or 2 inch pieces off more frequently. It won't hurt the plant, and you can root the cut pieces in water! Once the roots have grown a couple inches, you can pot the cut and rooted pieces in soil. New baby plants!
Want your plant to grow big? You can repot pretty often! If the plant is drying quickly, needing water every 3 days or so, you can move it to a bigger pot! Pick something an inch or two wider or deeper. Put your plant in, add some more soil to fill the space, smoosh it down, and watch as the roots spread out over time! The plant will start growing a lot more, and you can repeat this process over and over as time passes. You could get a huge plant in a couple years!
