Axolotl Birthday Parties for Kids in Maryland

If your kid is axolotl-obsessed-or just loves weird and wonderful animals- this party was made for them. At Easy Little Plants, we host terrarium-building birthday parties with some extra special guests. Kids get to plant and decorate their own terrariums- in the company of real axolotls!

Axolotls are water-dwelling salamanders with frilly gills, goofy smiles, and big personalities. Ours live in planted tanks near the workshop table, and kids love watching them swim, float, climb, and wave hello. They actually seem to enjoy the extra attention they get during birthday parties at the shop. They're very curious about all the new visitors!

Here’s what’s included:

• A terrarium for each kid to build

• Easy-to-grow plants, soil, moss, and natural materials

• Unlimited tiny axolotl figurines, crystals, and other fun decorations

• A fully guided, start-to-finish planting experience

• Time to meet our axolotls and other shop animals

• Music and pink spinny chairs, because of course

🎉 Party basics:

• $35 per child

• About 1-2 hours

• Best for ages 6+

• Up to 12 kids

• You’re welcome to bring snacks or cake

• We handle the setup and cleanup

🦎 Who they’ll meet:

• Benny, our black axolotl, who loves being talked to and waved at

• Ponyo, Benny's pink son- he's just a few months old!

• Tiny axolotl babies, raised from eggs and viewable in their own tank

• Our squad of 5 female betta fish

• Eater of Worlds, a dwarf puffer fish the size of a pea
